Manage the LaunchPad MSP432 boards

The LaunchPad MSP432 platform includes three variants: MSP432P401R, MSP432P4111 with a segmented LCD display and LaunchPad MSP432E401Y with Ethernet connectivity.

Warning

Except the MSP432E401Y, the MSP432P401R and MSP432P4111 MCUs have disappeared from Texas Instruments website and documentation.

The LaunchPad MSP432 platform runs on Energia MT, based on TI-RTOS and with multi-tasking capabilities.

Install

To install the LaunchPad CC13x0 boards,

  • Run Energia.

  • Ensure the Additional boards manager URLs list includes

http://s3.amazonaws.com/energiaUS/packages/package_msp432p_index.json

  • Call the menu Tools > Boards > Boards Manager.

  • Select and install Energia MSP432 EMT RED Boards for the LaunchPad MSP432P401R, Energia MSP432E Ethernet RED Boards for the LaunchPad MSP432E401Y, and Energia MSP432P4111 EMT RED Boards for the LaunchPad MSP432P4111.

Ensure the udev rules have been installed.

If multiple boards are connected,

  • To obtain the serial numbers of the connected XDS110, run on a Terminal window,
$ xdsdfu -e
